The glaring light from the sun shone, visible beams of it's radiance visible in the plumes of mist against the deep, dark backdrop of space like a sunbeam shining through a window, illuminating motes of dust on an early morning. A new plume of sizzling mist was released every few seconds from the looming vessel, a blue-gray twisted amalgamation of steel gridders, soupcan shaped habitat modules, and countless bulbous and rigid structures of all sizes, constructed crudely from plating, concealing and protecting the vulnerable drive system and fuel stores contained within.

moral questions
there are a lot of amazing people in this world, but all of us have some capacity for destruction in our hearts. there are many reasons why one may commit an act that harms another, and i am interested in whether we are morally just in discriminating someone's actions not based on the suffering they cause, but rather the ultimate motive of those actions.
1. is it morally acceptable to discriminate between those who commit an act of cruelty for the sake of causing suffering and those who commit cruel acts with an end goal in mind? is it for the benefit of potential future victims to lock away those who show signs of excessive cruelty in their
